We walked from Selce to Vermosh to Lepushe over 4 days. The hostels were clean and extremely accommodating. The food was fabulous.
All in all, an extremely memorable trip. Will be back!

Luckily we had a... read more tip from a friend beforehand, call Robert in Albania. He suggested a route and he could accompany us with his car. We then canceled the rental car and flew to Albania. The next day we met Robert, he showed us Tirana and explained his itinerary and tours to the mountains. We were totally amazed by his versatile knowledge. He took us to amazing places that we would never have seen without him. He was a great guide and we would not hesitate to travel with him again. Many Thanks

Albert is passionate and extremely knowledge of not just his home country of Albania, but all of the Balkans. You will learn about Albania’s origins in history, the infrastructure, education system, religion and so much more. I highly recommend hiking in Albania due to the incredible scenery in the Accursed Mountains and make sure to visit Tirana for a day or two when you’re there. Ask for Albert!!

Our group had an amazing guide who had a lot of knowledge of the country. He was there for us 24/7 and was very patient with all of us. He made sure everything went smoothly during our time in Albania.
Albania is one of the most beautiful countries I have ever been to. 10 out of 10.
I recommend this trip, every part of it!

We did not regret this decision, but experienced a varied and successful trip, whose focus was on hiking and the scenic diversity of the country without neglecting the cultural highlights. We found the program to be dense, but not overcrowded. The accommodations were carefully selected and their standard clearly exceeded our expectations. From a culinary point of view, the trip was also a delight. Essential for the success of the trip was our guide Robert, whom we experienced as warm, empathetic, attentive and competent. Robert has organizational talent and possesses a broad and detailed knowledge and, despite his youth, considerable expertise. Ich bin total begeistert aus Albanien zurück gekommen. Wir hatten einen ganz jungen, aufgeschlossenen und netten Guide, der uns alles mögliche über Land und Leute erklärt hat. Unsere Tour ging durch die albanischen Alpen zum Wandern und wir haben dabei auch ein paar Kulturdenkmäler mit angesehen. Die Wanderungen waren alle gut machbar und ganz abwechslungsreich, wobei es insgesamt heisser war, als ich gedacht hatte (wir waren im August dort). Die Unterkünfte waren einfach, aber sauber und gut gepflegt und die Herzlichkeit der Gastgeber war top!

Albanien, ein Land, dass sich seine Ursprünglichkeit noch bewahrt hat. Auf meinen Reisen in dieses kleine Land bin ich unberührter Natur und herzlichen Menschen begegnet. Hier konnte ich noch die Ursprünglichkeit der Natur erleben, die Stille in den Bergen, das Leben der Bergbewohner in einfachster Form. Natürlich habe ich das Land nicht allein bereist. Meine Reisen wurden von den Leuten von hike-in-albania vorbereitet und durchgeführt. Die Organisation und die Durchführung der Touren kann ich nur als professionell beurteilen. Ob es der Empfang am Flughafen oder die Unterbringung in guten Hotels oder das fachliche Wissen anbelangt, ich habe mich immer sicher und sehr gut betreut gefühlt. Das albanische Essen in den Restaurants war hervorragend sowie die Wahl der Restaurants. Es war mir immer ein Genuss. Die Touren sind sehr abwechslungsreich und interessant, ob es eine Kulturreise oder eine Wanderreise ist. Die Reiseleiter vermitteln die Geschichte und die Gegenwart des Landes in hervorragender Weise. Man sollte allerdings für die Wanderungen eine gute Kondition mitbringen und schon einige Erfahrungen im Bergwandern besitzen. Ich kann dies kleine Land Albanien nur empfehlen. Es ist auf jeden Fall eine Reise wert, für Menschen die die Natur respektieren und an Individualreisen interessiert sind.

Mir hat bei meiner Herbstreise durch Südalbanien die Kombination aus Kultur und Natur gefallen. Albanien war für mich ein weißer Fleck auf der Landkarte und ich war begeistert, welch eine reiche Geschichte mit herrlichem kulturellen Erbe das Land bietet. Die Natur ist atemberaubend schön. Was die Reise für mich aber so besonders gemacht hat, war under junger Guide Robert. In bestem Deutsch und mit profundem Wissen zur Geschichte seines Heimatlandes, aber auch mit Einblicken in die derzeitige Situation hat er unsere Gruppe stets umsichtig und sehr freundlich begleitet. Auch die Auswahl der Unterkünfte und Lokale war fast durchgehend sehr gelungen und die Gastfreundschaft, die man dort erleben konnte, war außergewöhnlich. Ich habe selten so eine rundum gelungene Reise erlebt. Deshalb habe ich sowohl Reiseziel als auch Reiseleitung schon mehrfach weiterempfohlen.

Albanien war für mich ein komplett fremdes Land. Bei meiner Reise durch den Süden und entlang der Küste konnte ich traumhafte Ausblicke geniessen und der Reiseleiter mit seinem umfangreichen Wissen hat uns viel über das Land erzählt und nähergebracht. Ein Land das man besuchen muss.

Unsere Reise in den Norden von Albanien war ein voller Erfolg. Die Einheimischen sind sehr gastfreundlich, die Landschaft ist atemberaubend, das Essen war ausgezeichnet und viel abwechslungsreicher, als ich erwartet hatte. Unser Reiseleiter hat sehr viel über Albanien erzählt und hat über geschichtliche Themen und Aktuelles gut Bescheid gewusst. Ich fand auch sehr angenehm, dass man sich über Sicherheit bzw. Kleinkriminalität gar keine Gedanken machen musste, das hatte ich so nicht erwartet. Ich kann meine Reise jedem Wander- und Kulturbegeisterten nur wärmsten empfehlen!
