One day in Kruje
From Tirana we reach Kruje in about an hour. We start our hike and follow an old pilgrim path that leads to the cave of Sari Salltik on the mountain. This cave is honored as a sacred place and many people come here and pray. We reach our destination through serpentines. A breathtaking view of Kruje and its surroundings awaits us. If the weather is clear, we can also see the port city of Durres. We go back again and before we go to Tirana we visit the Old Bazar, the fortress and the historical museum of Skenderbeg and learn more about the history of the Albanians. In the late afternoon we drive back to Tirana.
