The mountains have been part of his life since he was born. Born and raised in the small village of Selce in Northern Albania at the foot of the Accursed Mountains. He has been at home in the mountains since he was born and began to explore this unique landscape at an early age. Since then, his passion for hiking has taken him to the mountains again and again.
In Shkoder he graduated in German. During his summer vacations, he started to work as a local Guide and led the first visitors through Kelmend in 2011. From 2013 he has regularly led trips for various agencies (Wikinger Reisen, Weltweitwandern, DAV etc.) in Albania and the neighboring countries of Montenegro, Kosovo and North Macedonia and founded the travel agency Albatrek in 2019 with the aim of making his participants unforgettable Adventures with individually planned trips to enable experiences of the original beauty of his country.
Robert is also an avid cyclist, swimmer and skier.
